The studio will be closed from Monday 13th August - 27th August.

You can still make your enquiries via email and they will be answered when we return. Please be aware that there will be no beginner classes starting, but some classes do have spaces. If you are a beginner you will need to have a few private lessons to prepare you. Please follow the instructions on the website to do this.

New beginner classes

It is our intention to start beginner classes in the new year. Days and times to be confirmed.

DO IT RIGHT

Life in Petersfield magazine came to experience Pilates, and wrote an article entitled 'do it right'

Aimee, assistant editor of the magazine is a lady who likes to keep herself fit by going to the gym and taking classes offered by the leisure centre she uses. After an initial introducuction to Pilates she says that she felt every move differently to how she normally does her exercises...tummy and bottoms mainly. she will be now using Pilates tecniques to get the maximum benefit from the effort she puts in.

New equipment

Another piece of equipment arrived this week…..the Ladder barrel. Perhaps the most demanding of all the pieces but gives a fantastic stretch and an excellent work out. There has been a great deal of interest in the equipment. People have started to realise that it’s not as scary as it looks and have reaped the benefits, applying what they have learned to the mat exercises, which after all was Joseph Pilates’ intention for the equipment.

Saturday Night Fever!

The wonders of snow... The remarkable and beautiful white stuff brought much disruption to our classes with many people not being able to get out of the drive let alone attend their Pilates lesson. For those that did brave it and made it in we practice walking in the snow within the comforts and warmth of the studio. How? By imagining to walk like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever!! He has a bounce in his step allowing the major joints of ankles knees and hips to remain soft and reactive whilst walking on something as unstable and unpredictable as snow and ice.
